This carried out at austenite temperature so that can diffuse into phase. only be done on low steels with a content below 0.25%. research uses ST 37 steel which 0.18%. type hardened carburizing 850°C for long lasting time 1 hour, then it under moderate cooling outside air media. produces method battery media easily breaks down steel, occurs in batteries temperatures 723°C. And change mechanical from comparison initial specimen. Carburizing rock more efficient Because or batteries, absorb even though amount still very small. temperature, absorbed carbons cannot as happened process, but bind grain boundaries they their hardness 4%. The microstructure this has nothing phase because does not reach temperature.
